Chulu East along with Chulu West form a fundamental part of Manang Himal which ultimately becomes the part of massive Damodar Himal.
First climbed by German expedition team in 1955, Chulu East Peak is ideal for all those climbers who are in the intent of extending their trek in Annapurna region and experience the raw flavor of Nepal’s natural beauty and intriguing cultural diversity.
For climbing Chulu East Peak you should be in perfect physical condition and should have the technical knowledge about climbing as the climb needs ice axe, crampons and rope.
We will continue our trek through the Yak pastures, picturesque hamlets and dense forest with wide range of flora and fauna. Throughout the whole trek we will be greeted with the majestic vista of Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Tilicho peak, Glacier Peak and peaks to the north bordering the Tibetan plateau.
Starting the trek from Beshisahar the trail continues through the ridges, valley and forest. The main trail to Chulu East deviates from the trail that takes us to Thorang La Pass though some of the best view of the Peak can be seen from the Pass.
Passing through the village of Manang we will establish our base camp in a small valley in the north. From base camp we will climb the peak via northwest ridge.
Climbing Chulu East can be ideal for all those climbers who are searching for something thrilling and adventurous giving sufficient dose of adrenaline rush.
