Lobuche Peak Climbing
Trip Overview
Lobuche Peak (6,119m) is a spectacular trekking peak in Nepal's Khumbu region, directly opposite Everest. The peak offers dramatic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam.
Lobuche has two summits: Lobuche East (6,119m) for standard climbers and Lobuche West (6,145m) for experienced mountaineers. Lobuche East is the perfect stepping stone between Mera Peak and bigger climbs like Baruntse or Ama Dablam.
The journey follows the Everest Base Camp trek, visiting EBC and Kala Patthar for acclimatization. From Lobuche village, climbers ascend to High Camp (5,400m) then tackle steep ice slopes (40-50°) using fixed ropes to the summit.
