Notes to Travelers

This trek is moderately challenging and suitable for trekkers with good physical fitness and preparation for high-altitude trekking. Accommodation throughout the trek is mainly in teahouses and mountain lodges with basic but comfortable facilities.

Proper acclimatization is extremely important due to the high altitude, especially above Namche Bazaar. Weather conditions in the Himalayas can change rapidly, and flights to Lukla are highly weather-dependent.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu Transfer to the Hotel.

Day 2 : Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding.

Fly to Lukla (2,800m-15 M and Trek to Phakding (2,652m-3 Hrs.) & Lodge.
Day 3 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Cross suspension bridges and enter Sagarmatha National Park before ascending to the bustling Sherpa hub.
Day 4 : Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Short hike to Everest View Hotel or Khumjung village for acclimatization and panoramic views.
Day 5 : Trek to Tengboche (3,860m)

Walk through forests with stunning mountain scenery and visit the famous Tengboche Monastery.
Day 6 : Trek to Dingboche (4,410m)

Gradual ascent with changing landscapes and closer mountain views.
Day 7 : Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

Hike to Nagarjun Hill or Chhukung Valley for altitude adaptation.
Day 8 : Trek to Lobuche (4,910m)

Pass memorial sites and ascend into high alpine terrain.
Day 9 : Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) & Return to Gorakshep (5,164m)

Reach the base of the world’s highest mountain and return to Gorakshep.
Day 10 : Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) & Trek to Pheriche (4,240m)

Early morning hike for sunrise views over Everest, followed by descent.
Day 11 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Descend through familiar trails and forests.
Day 12 : Trek to Lukla (2,860m)

Final trekking day with a sense of accomplishment.
Day 13 : Fly back to Kathmandu

Return flight and transfer to hotel.
